The Physics Division of the National Center for Theoretical Sciences in Taipei invites applications for long term (3 + 2 years) positions, two for each of the following two areas: (1) LHC Physics and (2) Plasmonic Metamaterials. Successful candidates in (1) are expected to work in support of the local experimental effort at the Large Hadron Collider, in particular ― but not limited to ― the search for the 4th generation. Young candidates in (2) should be experienced in either classical electromagnetic theory and simulations, or ab initio electronic structure calculations, and are expected to interact strongly with several established local experimental groups. The above positions are available immediately, but review of applicants will continue until the positions are filled. Visiting (up to a few months) and postdoctoral positions are also available.
